Getting Divorced before I-485 APPOVED!

I want to know if anyone has gone through a divorce before gettin approval for her permanent residence. INS says that the girl must leave and I want to know the truth --- my girl is going to try many ways to try to stay here and she does NOT deserve to be in the USA --- you can reply directly with FACTS or story to bd@aquatising.com

Avoid any claims of battery !!

A employee of mine who is Cuban and now naturalized citizen, married a mexican woman.

About one year after marrage she provoked him on several occasions. He claims that he never struck her but he acknowledged that they argued in front of her children.

The wife filed a police report claining battery.

Over the next year, he paid $25,000 in attorney fee's, paying both his and her attorneys.

the charges were ulitmately, reduced to assault, to which he changed his plea from not guility to guilty.

INS is granting the wife the ability to stay in US.

Husband has turned over most of assets, i.e. furniture and cars.....and now will also pay spousal support for undetermined period of time.

the woman married him to get here / stay here.....and used the battery charges to be able to do so, have his financial support and NOT have to be married to him.

Think about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

worst case scenarios

'the woman married him to get here / stay here.....and used the battery charges to be able to do so, have his financial support and NOT have to be married to him.'

This sounds a lot like my former wife - who is a natural born American citizen.

It is wise to be aware of worst case screnarios in any given situation, however, never forget that an American woman is also very much capable of inflicting the same amount of damage on a man as any other woman from any other country.

BCIS

Rules say she has to leave UNLESS she can prove abuse then she can appeal based on abuse. So watch yourself. I suggest if you are divorcing her then make sure you get her moved out of the house to a "trusted" location where valid witnesses are around 24/7. Contact your Congressman's INS Liason Officer too, and a lawyer.
